Kieran Goss in concert
Kieran Goss was born and raised in County Down, Northern Ireland. He was just nine years old when he got his first guitar. Growing up in a big family with diverse musical tastes meant that early on he was hearing his brothers’ Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, and Willie Nelson records records, his mother’s Frank Sinatra’s and his sisters’ Rolling Stones records. These varied influences gave Goss his own unique sound.
Goss supported himself while a law student in Belfast by playing club gigs and the University Students’ Union, earning himself support slots for Elvis Costello, Christy Moore and Joe Jackson along the way. He recorded his first album, Brand New Star, in 1989. It contained the songs "Brand New Star" and "Just Around The Corner," which came to the attention of Mary Black as she was preparing the album Babes In The Wood. She recorded both songs.
Kieran followed up Brand New Star with New Day in 1994 and in 1998 he released the album Worse Than Pride, which contained the Top 10 single "Out Of My Head." It was the second most played song on Irish radio that year. Worse Than Pride achieved double platinum status nine months after it was released. Red-Letter Day followed this in 2000 containing fan-favourite "Reasons To Leave".
In the winter of 2002, Goss released the compilation Out Of My Head... The Best Of Kieran Goss. His sixth studio album, Blue Sky Sunrise, was recorded in Tennessee in the spring of 2005 and was produced by Rodney Crowell and Peter Coleman. It was released later that year.

presents
‘Salvation Jane’
5 piece all girl Folk-Gospel Accapella group on tour from Australia appearing in an afternoon workshop and evening concert
All-girl group Salvation Jane burst onto the Australian folk music scene in the early 1990's, primarily focussing on a cappella bluegrass gospel. Their stunning harmonies and powerful vocals wowed audiences across the country, from Port Fairy and the National Folk Festivals, Maleny Festival, and many others.
With various changes in personnel and an evolution in style and use of instruments, they toured the UK and New Zealand, had several children between them, and finally bid farewell to their fans in 1996.
Now these singing mavens are back! Returning with many of the songs that people loved to hear, as well as new material, Salvation Jane will put a smile on your face with their wide range of styles, collection of instruments and silly jokes!
They are Tess Lewis, Penny Larkins, Anna Fletcher, Jenny Szery and Rose Sexton

"Reunited after 16 years ……these five women reminded the audience from the very first note that those magnificent voices of 16 yrs ago were not only all there but carried in the towering harmonies, the weight of years and life experiences that added a stamp of authority to a dream that was still intact and the goals firmly in sight. Then they sang; some with eyes closed, others with heads thrown back, at times with glittering intensity and others with gay abandon, but all of one voice. The audience was treated to a display of a cappella mastery …..(and)… eclectic song list. Not content to sing off the back of five previous successful albums Salvation Jane took its audience on a ride with some stunning new material. The audience was left in silence at the bitter sweet end of Eric Bogle's "Shelter" with the last superb notes hanging in the air. SJR, five women in full cry……"
— Andrew Szery, The Bega Times
